NCG Trillium Cinema is a huge multiplex that shows Hollywood blockbusters. Approximately 15 movies are shown at any given time, with Real-D 3-D and IMAX options available. The building’s beautiful architecture will transport you back to the golden age of black and white films, Glamour styles, and transatlantic accents.

James Day Conner, dubbed “The Portrait Painter of American Cities,” grew up in a little town near Cincinnati, dubbed “The Queen City.” His paintings depict two worlds: the undulating landscapes and quaint hamlet settings of Bethel, Ohio, and the magnificent architecture of Cincinnati, with its towering structures on the Ohio River’s banks. James discovered that by making a montage of landmarks, he could convey the look and feel of a city, influenced by portrait artist William Gephardt of Cincinnati and skyline painter William Dietrich of the University of Cincinnati. With pen and ink, he produces a precise sense of detail, then adds color with dazzling watercolor washes.
James Day Conner’s house gallery, located at 113 Grand Blanc Road in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is open to the public. The Gallery is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Valentine’s Day is in February, and the temperature in Michigan could be below freezing. If there is a break in the weather and you need to get out of the house, Creasey Bicentennial Park, located near Grand Blanc, Michigan, is worth a visit.
Creasey Bicentennial Park, which is operated by Grand Blanc Parks and Recreation, is open all year and features rustic walking trails, baseball diamonds, a kid’s summer splash pad, pavilions (which may be rented), a dog walk area, and a winter sledding hill.
The park is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
